On November 2, the Los Angeles Dodgers announced that San Diego Padres COO Caroline Perry will take the same role with the Dodgers, effective November 30.

The Dodgers have hired Caroline Perry as executive vice president and chief operating officer, filling a vacancy created by Bob Wolfe’s planned retirement. Perry, previously the Padres’ COO, is expected to start with Los Angeles on November 30. Wolfe will remain with the Dodgers as an adviser after retiring at the end of the year.

Perry joined the Padres in 2011 as an associate general counsel and became COO in 2023. Her responsibilities included ballpark operations, and she oversaw work that included the renovation of Gallagher Square. A San Diego native, she had worked as a corporate attorney before joining the team. Perry said joining the Dodgers was “a tremendous honor.”

Wolfe spent 14 years with the Dodgers, serving as COO for the past five. Before coming to Los Angeles, he and team president Stan Kasten had worked together at Atlanta’s basketball and baseball franchises, as well as with the Washington Nationals. The team also appointed Royce Cohen, formerly its senior strategy-business executive, as EVP and chief business officer.
