Giants Could Consider Trades for Webb and Devers

After a 65-97 season, the San Francisco Giants may listen to offers for every player, including Logan Webb and Rafael Devers, as they seek pitching help. The possibility was raised on November 3.
San Francisco’s disappointing 2026 campaign ended with a 65-97 record and a second-to-last finish in the NL West. The Giants had already traded several players at the deadline, including pitchers Robbie Ray and Tyler Mahle, and former general manager Jim Bowden expects the team to consider offers for anyone still on its roster.
That could include ace Logan Webb and leading hitter Rafael Devers, as the Giants look for ways to strengthen their pitching staff. The team had 17 players on the 60-day injured list by season’s end, among them prospects Carson Whisenhunt, Trevor McDonald, Hayden Birdsong and Blade Tidwell.
Webb made his third straight All-Star team, but posted a 4.31 ERA and struck out 134 over 160.2 innings. He missed time with right knee bursitis and a blister on his right middle finger, which ended his season with two starts left. From 2023 through 2025, he had recorded at least 200 innings in each season.
Devers hit 37 home runs, drove in 98 runs and scored 88 times in his first full season with San Francisco, finishing with 3.6 bWAR. The club could consider moving its top bat to obtain pitching, though rebuilding the staff through trades would mean weighing the loss of major contributors. The Giants’ offseason decisions will determine whether either star remains with the team.
