Eight Padres Pitchers Elect Free Agency

Eight pitchers in the San Diego Padres’ minor-league system elected free agency, including prospect Jagger Haynes. The moves appeared in the team’s transaction log on November 4, 2026.
The Padres have lost eight pitchers from their minor-league organization to free agency, including Haynes, who was ranked 14th among the team’s prospects at the end of 2026. San Diego did not add the 24-year-old to its 40-man roster this week; left-hander Luis Gutierrez was added.
Haynes, a fifth-round draft pick in 2020, posted a 5.80 ERA in nine starts and one relief appearance for Triple-A El Paso this season. The other free agents are Daison Acosta, Ty Adcock, Sean Boyle, Hans Crouse, Evan Fitterer, Logan Gillaspie and Brent Honeywell.
Their time at El Paso ranged from 7.1 innings and a 9.82 ERA for Honeywell to 122.1 innings and a 5.66 ERA for Boyle. Fitterer recorded a 4.06 ERA over 95.1 innings, while Gillaspie had a 5.78 ERA in 85.2 innings. Acosta, Adcock and Crouse each had an ERA above 6.00 in their El Paso stints. The pitchers can now test the free-agent market.
