New England beat the New York Red Bulls 3-2 in Foxborough on October 28, clinching a playoff berth and extending its winning streak to four games.

The Revolution surrendered a two-goal advantage before Dániel Gazdag’s 83rd-minute finish secured a 3-2 victory over the New York Red Bulls in Foxborough on October 28. The win clinched New England’s place in the MLS playoffs and left it ranked second among Eastern Conference teams, with 58 points and a two-point cushion over Miami.

Dor Turgeman scored both of New England’s first-half goals. He opened the scoring in the ninth minute with a shot from outside the penalty area after a Red Bulls turnover, then added a close-range finish in the 46th minute after Luca Langoni’s cross.

New York fought back after the break. Cade Cowell scored in the 54th minute, and Julian Hall leveled the match in the 64th, turning the contest into a late test for the home side.

Peyton Miller’s attempt was saved by goalkeeper Ethan Horvath, but the rebound fell to Gazdag, who drove it into the net for the winner. New England held on for its fourth consecutive victory.

Carles Gil assisted Turgeman’s opener and reached 100 regular-season assists, becoming the eighth MLS player to hit that mark. The Revolution host Miami on Sunday, with second place in the conference at stake. The Red Bulls, on 39 points, visit Nashville the same day.
