On November 2, the Philadelphia Phillies declined to make third baseman Alec Bohm a qualifying offer and made several roster moves ahead of the offseason deadline.

On November 2, the Phillies passed on offering Alec Bohm a one-year qualifying offer worth $23.15 million, leaving the third baseman free to pursue a deal with any team. Philadelphia will not receive draft-pick compensation if he signs elsewhere. Bohm earned $10.2 million in 2026.

The club also claimed infielders Brett Harris and Shay Whitcomb off waivers from the San Francisco Giants. Harris, 28, hit .288 with an .848 OPS in Triple-A this season across three organizations. He mainly plays third and first base. Whitcomb, also 28, appeared in 49 big-league contests involving the Astros and Giants and is capable of playing any infield spot, along with left field. He batted .207 with a .569 OPS and 13 RBIs in 122 plate appearances in the majors.

Catcher Garrett Stubbs, previously designated for assignment, elected free agency and was taken off the 40-man roster. The Phillies reinstated relievers Brad Keller and Caleb Kilian and outfielders Felix Reyes and Johan Rojas from the 60-day injured list. Keller and Rojas had UCL tears, Kilian an oblique strain, and Reyes a fractured right wrist.

The qualifying-offer deadline was also the cutoff for teams to set their 40-man rosters ahead of the offseason. The offer is calculated using the mean salary among MLB’s 125 top-earning players. With the exclusive negotiating period over, Philadelphia can pursue free agents, while players leaving the club can seek opportunities elsewhere.
