Mariners Name Jason Kanzler Manager After 76-86 Season
The Seattle Mariners named 36-year-old Jason Kanzler their manager on November 3, choosing the Cubs’ player-development director to lead the team after a 76-86 season.
Kanzler will become the 22nd manager in Mariners history, replacing Dan Wilson. Seattle announced the hire after a 37-day search that ended with Kanzler selected over former Houston Astros manager Joe Espada. Kanzler has not managed a team at any level.
