Jazz Decline Isaiah Collier’s Fourth-Year Option

The Utah Jazz will decline guard Isaiah Collier’s $4.99 million team option, putting him on track for unrestricted free agency after the 2026-27 season.
On November 2, the Utah Jazz’s decision to decline Isaiah Collier’s fourth-year team option put the young guard’s future with the franchise in doubt. The option was valued at $4.99 million for the 2027-28 season. Collier remains under contract with Utah for this season, so the move does not immediately take him off the roster.
Collier, selected 29th overall in the 2024 NBA Draft, has averaged 9.9 points, 6.6 assists, 3.0 rebounds and 1.0 steals across his first three NBA seasons. He averaged 11.7 points and 7.2 assists in 2025-26, but has come off the bench in all six of Utah’s games this season, posting 7.5 points, 5.7 assists and 4.0 rebounds over 18.5 minutes each game.
The Jazz have started the season 1-5, with Keyonte George averaging 21.7 points and 6.3 assists through those games. Utah has also accepted the third-year option for Ace Bailey, keeping him under contract through at least 2028. Collier’s play over the coming months could affect whether the Jazz pursue a new agreement with him; declining the option leaves him on course to become an unrestricted free agent after the 2026-27 season.
