LeBron James Sips Fan’s Wine After Courtside Collision

LeBron James took a sip from a Philadelphia 76ers fan’s wine after colliding with him during the team’s 126-107 win over the Chicago Bulls in Philadelphia on November 2.
On November 2, LeBron James chased a loose ball during the 76ers’ home game against the Bulls and went into the courtside seats. He bumped into fan Troy Clemons, spilling his drink, then picked up the cup and took a sip before returning to play. Philadelphia won 126-107 and improved its record to 7-1 with its fourth straight victory.
James finished with 15 points, nine assists and seven rebounds. After the game, he said he sampled the wine to see whether it was worth the spill, calling it “alright.” He also said players need to find ways to enjoy the long season while staying focused.
Clemons said James apologized after the collision. He was unbothered by the drink being spilled, bought another one and tossed the cup rather than keeping it as a souvenir. “I’m just glad for him to be here,” Clemons said.
The moment drew attention online, including criticism from Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy, who argued that the scene could send a poor message to young fans. Other social media users joked about James playing after drinking. James also celebrated a basket with a dance during the game.
