Jerome’s Scoring Surge Leads Memphis Into Pacers Matchup

The Memphis Grizzlies host the Indiana Pacers on November 4, after Ty Jerome scored 40 points in an overtime loss to New Orleans.
Memphis welcomes Indiana to Tennessee on November 4 with Ty Jerome coming off a 40-point performance in the Grizzlies’ 135-134 overtime defeat by the New Orleans Pelicans. The loss ended Memphis’s unbeaten start; the Grizzlies enter the matchup 6-1, while the Pacers are 2-6. The game is scheduled for 8 p.m. EST.
Jerome shot 64% against New Orleans, making five of six attempts from three-point range and seven of eight free throws. With Memphis down nine late in regulation, he scored the Grizzlies’ final nine points to force overtime. He is averaging 28.3 points per game, with shooting splits of 50% from the field, 42% from three and 88% at the line.
The scoring leap follows a strong 2024-25 season with Cleveland, where Jerome averaged 12.5 points and ranked third in voting for the Sixth Man of the Year award. He later joined Memphis on a three-year, $28 million deal. His increased role this season has brought more playing time and a 31.3% usage rate. Memphis will be without Scotty Pippen Jr. and Quinten Post. Indiana’s listed absences include Tyrese Haliburton, Pascal Siakam and several other players.
