Oregon State begins its 2026-27 men’s basketball season at home against Weber State on November 2. The game at Gill Coliseum in Corvallis is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Pacific time, and marks Justin Joyner’s first game as the Beavers’ head coach. Oregon State is seeking its 13th consecutive season-opening win.

The Beavers have 12 newcomers, with senior guard Josiah Lake II the only player returning from last season’s team. He will be one of the team’s sources of experience as Oregon State starts a new campaign in the Pac-12 Conference.

Forward Jackson Rasmussen, a sophomore who joined Oregon State from Idaho, earned top newcomer honors in the Big Sky Conference last season. He is the only Beaver on this year’s roster with previous experience against Weber State. In two meetings with the Wildcats, Rasmussen averaged 11 points and four rebounds.

Junior guard Daniel Freitag also arrives with a strong scoring record. He averaged 19.8 points per game at Buffalo last season, including three games with 33 points. Freitag said he is prepared to contribute in different ways, whether scoring or facilitating.

Oregon State went 17-16 overall and 12-5 at home last season, averaging 71.1 points per game. Weber State finished 16-16 and went 5-10 on the road. The game is scheduled to air on Pac-12 YouTube, with radio coverage on the Beaver Sports Network.
