Auburn-Arkansas Series Has Favored the Road Team

Auburn will host Arkansas on November 7, with both teams seeking a win after recent losses and the road team having won the teams’ last five meetings.
Auburn and Arkansas meet at Jordan-Hare Stadium on November 7, continuing a series in which the visiting team has won five straight games. First-year Auburn coach Alex Golesh said he was glad to be playing at home, calling the matchup important because it is the Tigers’ next game.
The run of road victories began after Auburn’s five-game winning streak from 2016 through 2020. Arkansas won at Auburn in 2022, and the Tigers claimed a 48-10 victory in Fayetteville in 2023. The Razorbacks won 24-14 at Auburn in 2024, before Auburn prevailed in Fayetteville last season.
Auburn opened the season 4-2, including a road win over Georgia, then fell in consecutive contests against LSU and Ole Miss by wide margins. The Tigers are now 4-4 overall and 2-4 in Southeastern Conference play. Arkansas is coming off a 34-10 home defeat by Missouri, and both teams need a win.
Golesh is 0-3 against Arkansas coach Ryan Silverfield from their previous meetings in the American Athletic Conference. He praised the Razorbacks’ running game, quarterback KJ Jackson and offensive line. Arkansas’ leading rusher, Sutton Smith, has 217 yards in eight games. Jackson had two turnovers against Missouri and completed 20 of 34 passes without a passing touchdown.
Silverfield said he respected Golesh’s path through coaching. The teams’ meeting will be a test for both first-year head coaches, with Arkansas looking to extend the road-team streak.
