The Chicago Bears defeated the Seattle Seahawks 34-17 on November 2, and quarterback Caleb Williams celebrated the win with Bears fans who remained at Lumen Field. Chicago improved to 6-2 with the road victory over the defending Super Bowl champions.
Williams said he wants to keep working for his teammates and give fans reason to be proud. He also cautioned against getting caught up in the attention coming to Chicago, saying the team’s focus should stay on its work internally.
A sideline clip of Williams shouting during the game drew attention online. The moment’s meaning was unclear, though the broadcast suggested he might have been frustrated with teammate Kalif Raymond. Afterward, Williams described the emotion as rooted in the team’s belief in one another, including its offense, defense and special teams.
Williams completed 24 passes on 34 attempts, gaining 247 yards and throwing one touchdown. D’Andre Swift scored three touchdowns and ran for 69 yards. Chicago will return home to host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on November 8 at 1 p.m. ET.
