Bengals Place Cashius Howell on Injured Reserve

On November 3, Cincinnati sent first-year edge rusher Cashius Howell to injured reserve because of a wrist injury, leaving the team short at the position before its game in Madrid against Atlanta.
On November 3, Cincinnati put first-year edge rusher Cashius Howell on the injured list because of a wrist injury. Howell had surgery on his wrist earlier in the week. He had appeared in all seven of Cincinnati’s games, recording three tackles, two tackles for loss and one sack. The team did not announce a corresponding roster move with the transaction.
Cincinnati is traveling to Madrid for Sunday’s game against Atlanta, scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Eastern time. The team plans to resume practices on Thursday, with coach Zac Taylor saying the early arrival is intended to help players adjust to the time difference and be ready for the game.
With Cedric Johnson also injured, Shemar Stewart is the lone reserve defensive end in good health on the 53-man roster. The Bengals may call up practice-squad defensive end Isaiah Foskey this week. Taylor said the team has depth on the defensive line and that Howell’s absence could create more opportunities for players such as Stewart. Cincinnati will also monitor Johnson and DJ Turner, who is managing a heel injury and is being assessed each day.
Players: DJ Turner II, Isaiah Foskey, Cedric Johnson, Shemar Stewart, Cashius Howell
