Chargers’ Deadline Plans Remain Unclear as Mack Draws Interest

The Los Angeles Chargers have not signaled they will trade players ahead of the NFL deadline, while Khalil Mack is linked to the 49ers and Bears. The latest updates came on November 2.
The Chargers have given no indication to other teams that they are willing to move players before the NFL trade deadline, Adam Schefter said on November 2. That is the case despite the team not having won a game yet, according to his account. The team’s deadline intentions remain unclear.
Khalil Mack is still drawing attention from the San Francisco 49ers and Chicago Bears, Jordan Schultz said. Both teams have already added a pass rusher, but Schultz said further moves by either club should not be ruled out. Mack is among several Chargers listed as possible trade candidates, alongside cornerback Donte Jackson, linebacker Denzel Perryman, defensive tackle Dalvin Tomlinson, edge rusher Bud Dupree, wide receiver Quentin Johnston, tight end David Njoku and running back Keaton Mitchell.
Justin Herbert is not considered available. Schefter said on October 13 there was no chance the Chargers would trade the quarterback. Potential additions suggested for Los Angeles include a reunion with wide receiver Keenan Allen and a possible move for Jacksonville Jaguars receiver Brian Thomas. The deadline tracker says it will be updated as further discussions, candidates or completed trades emerge.
Players: Keenan Allen, Khalil Mack, Denzel Perryman, Bud Dupree, Dalvin Tomlinson, David Njoku, Donte Jackson, Justin Herbert, Keaton Mitchell, Quentin Johnston, Brian Thomas Jr.
