Tyler Allgeier Named NFC Offensive Player of the Week

Arizona Cardinals running back Tyler Allgeier earned NFC Offensive Player of the Week honors after a standout performance in the team’s Week 8 win over Dallas.
Published November 4, 2026. Tyler Allgeier rushed for 147 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries and added 44 receiving yards and a receiving touchdown on five catches as Arizona upset the Dallas Cowboys. His 191 yards from scrimmage led the NFL in Week 8, and the award is his first career Player of the Week selection.
Allgeier set career highs in rushing yards and scrimmage yards. His 63-yard dash to the end zone topped all NFL rushing scores this season, and he also had a 52-yard carry. The two runs came consecutively, making him the first NFL player to gain at least 50 yards on back-to-back carries since Doug Martin did so for Tampa Bay in 2012.
He produced 184 yards and both touchdowns in the second half, becoming the first player in Cardinals history to post at least 180 total yards and score on both a run and a catch in one half. He is the fourth player in franchise history to have at least 185 scrimmage yards and both types of touchdowns in a game.
Allgeier is the third Arizona player to receive a weekly award this season. The team’s three selections are its most in a season since 2021, when it had seven. With Love sidelined indefinitely, Arizona is expected to rely heavily on Allgeier in the coming weeks.
