Rangers Defenseman Takes on Russian Adventure Show
Vladislav Gavrikov appeared in a Russian adventure game show filmed in June; his episode aired in Russia on November 1, 2026.
New York Rangers defenseman Vladislav Gavrikov spent a day of his offseason taking on challenges for Russian television, fulfilling a childhood wish to appear on an adventure game show. His episode of “Fort. Vozvrashchenie legendy” aired in Russia on November 1, 2026, after being filmed in June.
The program is a modern Russian version of the French adventure series “Fort Boyard.” Gavrikov said he had watched the original while growing up, when it was a popular weekend program featuring actors, athletes and other well-known people. He was excited when the opportunity came to participate.
Before agreeing, however, Gavrikov wanted reassurance about the physical risks. He said he knew some challenges could involve climbing and might be dangerous, and contacted the production team to ask whether the activities would be safe. They told him everything would be fine.
Gavrikov discussed the experience after a Rangers practice on November 2, the day after the episode’s broadcast. The one-day filming took place during the hockey offseason; the account did not detail the challenges he completed or describe any injuries.
