Nic Claxton Questionable for Bulls’ Knicks Game

Chicago Bulls center Nic Claxton is questionable to make his debut against the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden on November 4, as he works back from a hamstring strain.
The Bulls upgraded Claxton to questionable ahead of their game against the Knicks, another step toward his return after a hamstring injury kept him out since early in training camp. Chicago acquired him from Brooklyn in the offseason, and he completed his first full practice with the team on November 1.
Coach Tiago Splitter said on November 2 that Claxton was not yet ready, and the team was assessing his progress day by day. The Bulls could still hold him out, with three days between the Knicks game and their next matchup on Sunday. If he plays, his minutes are likely to be limited.
Claxton could help Chicago address issues from its previous meeting with New York. The Bulls lost the rebounding battle 50-39 and allowed 23 second-chance points. They also held the Knicks to 18-for-41 shooting in the restricted area, but New York rallied late to win.
Jalen Smith is listed as probable with a finger injury. He played against Philadelphia on Monday, recording 13 points, seven rebounds and four assists. Knicks guard Josh Hart is questionable with an ankle injury.
