Brown Turns to Veteran Knicks Rotation After Slow Start

Knicks coach Mike Brown has shifted toward a veteran-heavy rotation in New York after the team opened the campaign 0-3.
Mike Brown began the season hoping to use a rotation of 10 to 10½ players, giving younger Knicks Pacôme Dadiet and Mo Diawara chances to build experience. But the team’s opening two weeks did not unfold as planned, and Brown has already adjusted his approach more than once.
New York started 0-3 amid an inefficient offense, a tired starting lineup and a shortage of depth at center. The difficult early schedule and the team’s results led Brown to set aside his initial plan to give younger players more playing time.
Brown said the team had tried different approaches but had not executed well enough, contributing to the slow start. He said the Knicks would rely on a veteran group to steady the team and get it back on track. His initial goal of developing the younger players while resting the starters has therefore given way to prioritizing immediate results.
