Cavaliers Agree to Bring Back Norchad Omier

Cleveland agreed to terms with forward Norchad Omier on a two-way contract, bringing him back after his stint with the Charge last season. The move was confirmed on November 3.
The Cleveland Cavaliers have agreed to bring Norchad Omier back on a two-way contract, adding a familiar forward who played for their G League affiliate last season. Omier had been set to join Minnesota before changing course for Cleveland, with the agreement confirmed on November 3.
Omier averaged 20 points and 12 rebounds in 20 appearances for the Charge during the 2025-26 season. The 6-foot-5 forward also played six NBA games for the Los Angeles Clippers after joining them in February. Across five college seasons, he averaged a double-double each year.
Cleveland’s three two-way contracts were already occupied by Riley Minix, Ernest Udeh Jr. and Tristan Enaruna. The report identified Minix as the likeliest player to be released to make room, citing his struggles in NBA minutes, while noting Enaruna’s strong season with the Charge and Udeh’s status as a rookie. That roster move was described as a possibility, not a completed transaction.
Omier is known for his rebounding and effort, and the addition could provide depth at forward amid injuries to Cleveland’s wings. The team’s final transaction details were still to come.
