Moe Odum Transfers to San Jose State, Set for December Debut

Former Arizona State guard Moe Odum will join San Jose State after gaining eligibility to play college basketball again. He is scheduled to make his debut against Stanford on December 18.
Moe Odum is transferring to San Jose State after a dispute over his college eligibility delayed his return to the court. The former Arizona State guard is expected to debut against Stanford on December 18, following the announcement on November 4.
Odum secured a fifth season of eligibility through a legal challenge against the NCAA. But the Big 12 would not allow him to return to Arizona State after he entered a short-term agreement to play professionally for a European team over the summer. His next college destination remained uncertain before San Jose State took him on.
In his season at Arizona State, Odum averaged 16.4 points, 5.7 assists and 1.4 steals per game, while making 37.7% of his three-point attempts. The Sun Devils finished 17-16.
He scored 36 points against Texas in the opening round of the Maui Invitational and had 26 points, including five three-pointers, in the semifinals against Washington State. Odum earned a place on the tournament’s all-star team. He also scored 23 points in wins over ranked Kansas and Texas Tech.
His move puts him in Mountain West play against Hawaii, which faced him last season, and Grand Canyon. San Jose State is scheduled to visit Grand Canyon on February 26, 2027. Odum said he was looking forward to his December return.
