UCLA’s Dieffenbach Says JoJo Siwa Is a Family Friend
UCLA quarterback Ty Dieffenbach said he and singer JoJo Siwa are longtime friends after they were seen embracing following the Bruins’ 27-0 win over Nevada on October 31.
Dieffenbach explained that his mother taught Siwa dance when they were young, and that their families became close. He described Siwa as a good friend, addressing questions about their relationship after the postgame embrace at midfield.
The UCLA senior stepped in for injured quarterback Nico Iamaleava. Against Nevada, he passed for 178 yards and a touchdown and ran for another score as the fifth-ranked Bruins won 27-0.
An old video of Dieffenbach and Siwa dancing together has also resurfaced online. Siwa is publicly dating television personality Chris Hughes; they were seen kissing at a Beverly Hills charity gala in late October. UCLA is 8-0, and Dieffenbach’s attention remains on the team’s season.
