Stanford Wins Commitment From Four-Star Quarterback Hunter Fujikawa

On November 2, 2026, four-star quarterback Hunter Fujikawa committed to Stanford, choosing the Cardinal over Oregon, Ole Miss and Arizona.

Stanford has added a nationally ranked quarterback to its 2028 recruiting class. Hunter Fujikawa, a 6-foot-2, 210-pound prospect at Mililani High School in Hawaii, chose the Cardinal after considering Oregon, Ole Miss and Arizona. He had also included UCLA and Arizona State among the six schools he weighed in his recruitment.

Fujikawa’s decision followed a Stanford visit during which he spent time with the coaching staff and general manager Andrew Luck. He also spoke by video call with Marcus Mariota, a Hawaii-born former Oregon signal-caller.

Fujikawa is ranked the No. 12 quarterback in the 2028 class. During the Trojans’ August opener, he connected on 20 of 34 throws, gaining 273 yards and scoring three touchdowns as they beat Liberty High School of Nevada, 31-24.

Across his first 10 quarters of the 2026 season, he completed 71% of his passes for 847 yards and 10 touchdowns, without throwing an interception.

Fujikawa still has one more high school year to play before arriving at Stanford. His commitment gives the Cardinal an early centerpiece for their 2028 class as they continue building their offense.
