Kendrick Bourne’s Fractured Tibia Ends Cardinals Season

Arizona Cardinals receiver Kendrick Bourne fractured his tibia in the team’s Week 8 win over Dallas and will miss the rest of the season, with the injury confirmed on November 2.
The Arizona Cardinals will be without Kendrick Bourne through the end of the 2026 season after the veteran receiver fractured his tibia in the Week 8 overtime win over the Dallas Cowboys. The injury happened late in the first half, and Bourne did not return. He is expected to miss three months and does not need surgery.
Bourne had 26 catches for 263 yards in eight games, ranking second among Arizona receivers in receptions. The Cardinals signed him in March to a two-year deal worth $10 million, with incentives that could raise its value to $12 million. He was brought in as the team’s starting slot receiver and had worked with coach LaFleur before joining Arizona.
The injury adds to the Cardinals’ receiver shortages. Marvin Harrison Jr. was traded to the Houston Texans, and Jalen Brooks went on injured reserve. Michael Wilson also disclosed after the Dallas game that he had two broken ribs. Arizona recently signed Zay Jones and could seek additional help before the November 10 trade deadline.
Before the season-ending diagnosis was confirmed, LaFleur told reporters the injury looked serious but said the team was still gathering medical opinions. The Cardinals, who are 3-5, have named Gardner Minshew their starting quarterback moving forward. An injured-reserve move for Bourne was expected.
