Panthers Weigh Offensive Line Changes After Two Poor Games

The Carolina Panthers are considering changes to their offensive line ahead of their Week 9 game, with Taylor Moton and Ikem Ekwonu unavailable and Damien Lewis uncertain to play.
Published November 3, 2026. Carolina’s offensive line has struggled through two consecutive games, leaving quarterback Bryce Young under heavy pressure. Young is also dealing with a knee injury that has limited his mobility. The team is considering changes to the unit before Sunday’s game.
Moton and Ikem Ekwonu are expected to be unavailable. Lewis, who has missed time with an injury, hopes to be ready for Week 9. A proposed lineup would put Lewis at left guard and Monroe Freeling at left tackle, replacing Rasheed Walker.
The suggested changes also include starting Sam Hecht at center instead of Luke Fortner and Brady Christensen at right guard instead of Robert Hunt. Stone Forsythe is the proposed right tackle, with Albert Reese another possibility if Forsythe struggles. Corey Bullock and Toricelli Simpkins are also hurt, limiting the available options.
Players: Taylor Moton, Robert Hunt, Damien Lewis, Stone Forsythe, Brady Christensen, Rasheed Walker, Ikem Ekwonu, Luke Fortner, Bryce Young, Corey Bullock, Monroe Freeling, Sam Hecht, Albert Reese
