Macdonald Calls Seahawks’ Loss to Bears Frustrating

Seattle coach Mike Macdonald described the Seahawks’ 34-17 loss to the Chicago Bears as frustrating on Tuesday, November 3, as his team prepared to face Arizona.
The Seahawks suffered their first multi-score defeat of the season, losing 34-17 to the Bears in Week 8’s Monday Night Football game. Coach Mike Macdonald said the team’s performance across all three phases contributed to the loss and left players and staff disappointed.
Seattle opened the season 2-0 but has since lost four of its last six games. The defeat also left the Seahawks outside the NFC playoff picture. Macdonald said the team would focus on correcting mistakes and improving areas within its control rather than treating the situation as a crisis.
The Seahawks’ next game is against the Arizona Cardinals, a division rival they beat 31-7 in Week 2. Arizona rallied from a 14-point fourth-quarter deficit to defeat Dallas last week, with backup quarterback Gardner Minshew coming in. Minshew is projected to start against Seattle.
The teams are scheduled to meet Sunday, November 8, 2026, at Lumen Field. Seattle then faces the Las Vegas Raiders before its bye week, and needs to win both games before the break.
