Bears Could Trade Case Keenum Amid Ravens Quarterback Crisis

The 6-2 Chicago Bears could consider trading backup quarterback Case Keenum before the November 4 deadline, with the Baltimore Ravens a possible suitor after injuries left them short at quarterback.
Chicago is enjoying a strong season and recently added defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons in a deal with Tennessee. The Bears may still seek help at cornerback or edge rusher before the trade deadline, but ESPN analyst Dan Graziano has also identified Keenum as a player another team might pursue for quarterback depth.
Keenum stepped in for Caleb Williams earlier this season and showed enough to attract interest, Graziano said. Williams has recovered from a hamstring injury, while Tyson Bagent has returned to the backup role after a concussion. Keenum, who has started 68 games, also brings experience and mentorship to the quarterback room. The Bears could decide that value outweighs a trade offer, though their recent deal for Simmons involved sending three draft picks to Tennessee and receiving a fifth-round pick in return.
Baltimore is a potential destination after Lamar Jackson and Tyler Huntley were injured against Buffalo. Huntley has been ruled out for the season with turf toe, while Jackson’s thumb injury has raised concern. Coach Jesse Minter did not sound optimistic about Jackson’s condition, and Joe Fagnano is the Ravens’ third quarterback. The 4-4 team remains in contention, and Keenum’s experience in Chicago’s offense and past work with Baltimore offensive coordinator Declan Doyle could make him a short-term option.
Another quarterback injury before the Tuesday deadline could create additional demand. Arizona also has questions at the position, but Gardner Minshew’s recent performance against Dallas may keep the Cardinals from pursuing Keenum.
