Seahawks and Jets Lead Re-Grades of 2025 NFL Deadline Deals

A year after the 2025 NFL trade deadline, a review published November 4, 2026, reassessed deals involving the Seahawks, Jets, Jaguars, Raiders, Colts, Cowboys and Saints. Seattle’s Rashid Shaheed acquisition received the highest grade.
Seattle earned an A+ for trading for Rashid Shaheed, whose return touchdowns helped the Seahawks secure the NFC West and later win the Super Bowl. The Saints received a C: the two picks they got produced offensive lineman Jeremiah Wright and defensive back Lorenzo Styles Jr., who have had limited roles. Shaheed subsequently signed a three-year, $51 million extension with Seattle.
The Jets also came out ahead in the review of their deal with Indianapolis for cornerback Sauce Gardner. New York received two first-rounders and receiver Adonai Mitchell, and used one pick on tight end Kenyon Sadiq, who had 17 catches for 186 yards and a touchdown through eight weeks. The other first-round selection was projected to be No. 4 in the 2027 draft order. The Jets earned an A-, while the Colts got a D after missing the playoffs and struggling defensively.
Jacksonville’s trade for receiver Jakobi Meyers drew an A, with the review crediting him with helping open up the offense and supporting Trevor Lawrence’s strong play. Coach Liam Coen said Meyers’ arrival quickly changed the team’s passing game. Las Vegas received a B-; the picks it acquired helped bring in players including safety Treydan Stukes and guard Trey Zuhn, but its pass defense remained near the bottom of the league.
Dallas received a C for acquiring defensive tackle Quinnen Williams from the Jets, while New York got a B. Williams had played well enough to earn an extension, but Dallas ranked last in rushing yards allowed per game in 2026. The Jets still held the first-round pick included in the deal, projected at No. 10 at the time of the review.
Players: Jakobi Meyers, Quinnen Williams, Trevor Lawrence, Sauce Gardner, Rashid Shaheed, Adonai Mitchell, Treydan Stukes, Trey Zuhn III, Kenyon Sadiq, Jeremiah Wright, Lorenzo Styles Jr.
