Jack Campbell reports movement progress after serious injury

Detroit Lions linebacker Jack Campbell said on November 4 that he has full movement in his lower body and is making progress in his upper body after an injury during a game against Minnesota.
Campbell and his family shared the update as he continued recovering from an injury suffered while tackling Vikings tight end T.J. Hockenson during the second half of Detroit’s game on November 1. Campbell remained on the field for several minutes before being taken away on a medical cart and brought to a hospital for evaluation.
In his first public comments since the injury, Campbell said he was encouraged by his progress and optimistic, while recognizing that recovery work remained. He said he was focusing on getting better one day at a time.
Campbell thanked the people who responded on the field, as well as the medical teams at Henry Ford Hospital and the Lions. He also expressed appreciation for his family, teammates, coaches and the broader Detroit organization, and asked people to continue keeping his family in their prayers.
The Lions had been providing daily updates on his recovery. Campbell said his faith was strong and described approaching the challenge with toughness and resilience.
