Ravens Face Quarterback Shortage as Trade Deadline Nears

Baltimore has lost its top two quarterbacks to season-ending injuries, while rookie Joe Fagnano is questionable ahead of a November 5 game against Jacksonville. On November 4, three possible trade targets were discussed as the Ravens consider options before the November 10 deadline.

Baltimore’s quarterback depth has been hit hard: Lamar Jackson underwent thumb surgery and went on injured reserve after being hurt against Buffalo, and Tyler Huntley has a season-ending turf toe injury. Rookie Joe Fagnano then took over, completing 10 of 21 passes for 91 yards and an interception in the 36-10 loss. He is also dealing with an ankle injury and is questionable for the Ravens’ November 5 matchup with Jacksonville. The team has added Kedon Slovis and Austin Reed.

With Baltimore at 4-4 and last in its division, the team could look for help before the November 10 trade deadline. One possible option is Arizona’s Jacoby Brissett, who was recently moved down the depth chart after Gardner Minshew replaced him during a game against Dallas. Brissett has thrown for 1,719 yards, 10 touchdowns and seven interceptions this season, completing 63.3% of his passes.

Indianapolis quarterback Anthony Richardson could offer more upside, though he has not started since 2024. In 18 games, he has completed 50.9% of his passes, with 11 touchdowns and 13 interceptions. He is 8-7 as a starter and has also contributed as a runner.

Chicago’s Tyson Bagent is another possibility, in part because of his familiarity with Baltimore offensive coordinator Declan Doyle. Bagent, an undrafted player, made four starts as a rookie and signed a two-year, $10 million extension in 2025. His recent outings include a 268-yard game with one interception against the Jets and an 87-yard performance with two interceptions against Green Bay. The Bears’ asking price would be a factor; a fourth-round pick could be too high for Baltimore to consider.

Players: Jacoby Brissett, Lamar Jackson, Gardner Minshew, Tyler Huntley, Tyson Bagent, Anthony Richardson, Kedon Slovis, Joe Fagnano
