The Philadelphia Flyers introduced Liberty Bell-themed gray “Independence Edition” jerseys on November 2. They are scheduled to debut against the Minnesota Wild on November 3.

The jerseys belong to the league and Fanatics’ Hometown Remix series, which gives teams alternate designs drawing on their cities and local culture. The Flyers’ dark gray base, called Liberty Gray, is the first gray primary color in franchise history; the team’s previous jerseys were orange, white or black.

The design incorporates references to the Liberty Bell and the nation’s 250th anniversary. Cracks appear in the jersey numbers, while six sleeve stripes reflect the bell’s design and the Flyers’ 60th season. Between the stripes is wording taken from the bell’s inscription. Other details include a Constitution mark inside the collar, a raised chest crest intended to echo the bell’s surface, and accents in Burnt Orange and Declaration Parchment.

The Flyers plan to wear the uniforms 13 times this season, beginning at home against Minnesota on November 3. The remaining dates are November 27, November 30, December 3, December 14, December 18, January 10, January 23, February 20, February 26, March 7, March 18 and March 20. Three games are on the road: November 30 in Toronto and February 26 and March 20 against the Islanders. Home games will include an Independence Edition experience, with further details due November 3. Jerseys are available online, with in-person sales at team stores starting November 3.
