Jason Robertson scored three goals in just over five minutes as Dallas beat Washington 6-5 in the NHL on November 3, 2026.

On November 3, 2026, Jason Robertson’s three-goal burst helped the Dallas Stars defeat the Washington Capitals 6-5 in Washington. He scored three times in a span of 5 minutes and 20 seconds early in the second period, recording the third-quickest natural hat trick in Stars history and leaving Dallas ahead 4-0. His final goal prompted Washington to replace goalie Logan Thompson with 14:17 left before the second intermission.

Robertson’s first goal came on a power play, 23 seconds into the period. He added another after taking a pass from Arttu Hyry and avoiding a check along the boards before shooting past Thompson. Mikko Rantanen scored later in the period, matching Robertson for the team lead with eight goals this season.

Dallas also got goals from Roope Hintz and Joel Kiviranta. Hintz added an assist, while Jake Oettinger stopped 20 shots. The Stars earned at least a point in their fifth straight road game.

Washington fought back, scoring twice in the second period to make it 5-3. Jordan Kyrou had a goal and two assists; goals also came from Boone Jenner, Jakob Chychrun and Justin Sourdif. Ryan Leonard’s goal with 1:02 remaining, while Washington had an extra attacker, narrowed the margin to one. Sourdif had made it 6-4 with 7:05 left.

Dallas is set to visit Columbus on Thursday, November 5. Washington will finish its three-game homestand against Florida on Saturday, November 7.
