Four Milwaukee Brewers, fresh off winning the World Series, are finalists for major BBWAA awards announced on November 2. Jacob Misiorowski is a contender for National League Cy Young.

Milwaukee’s Jacob Misiorowski, Brice Turang, Pat Murphy and Trevor Megill are among the finalists for baseball’s major individual awards. The Baseball Writers’ Association of America named the candidates on November 2, with winners due to be announced next week. Misiorowski is considered a strong contender for NL Cy Young.

Turang, a Gold Glove second baseman, is a finalist for NL Most Valuable Player alongside Chicago Cubs center fielder Pete Crow-Armstrong and Los Angeles Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani. Crow-Armstrong hit .280 with 45 home runs and 41 stolen bases, joining baseball’s 40-40 club. Murphy could become the first manager to win three straight Manager of the Year awards; his NL competition is Philadelphia’s Don Mattingly and Atlanta’s Walt Weiss. Megill is a finalist in the newly introduced NL Relief Pitcher of the Year category, along with Philadelphia’s Jhoan Duran and San Diego’s Mason Miller.

Other finalists include Houston’s Yordan Alvarez, Tampa Bay’s Junior Caminero and Kansas City’s Bobby Witt Jr. for AL MVP. AL Cy Young candidates are Toronto’s Dylan Cease, Cleveland’s Parker Messick and the Yankees’ Cam Schlittler; Atlanta’s Chris Sale and Philadelphia’s Cristopher Sánchez join Misiorowski in the NL race. Messick is also an AL Rookie of the Year finalist, with Detroit’s Kevin McGonigle and Boston’s Payton Tolle. Rookie finalists in the NL are Carson Benge, Sal Stewart and JJ Wetherholt.

Reliever finalists in the AL are Bryan Baker, Cade Smith and Louis Varland. AL Manager of the Year candidates are Kevin Cash, Chad Tracy and Will Venable.
