The Memphis Grizzlies fell 107-103 to the Indiana Pacers at FedExForum on November 4, as turnovers and a cold fourth quarter hurt their offense.

Indiana’s ball pressure disrupted Memphis throughout the game, with the Grizzlies committing eight turnovers in the first quarter. They finished with 20 giveaways, which led to 24 Pacers points; Indiana had 16 turnovers of its own.

Memphis struggled to score in the fourth, making 7 of 27 shots from the field and 3 of 15 from beyond the arc. The Grizzlies also missed out at the free-throw line, converting 9 of 15 attempts. Indiana made 15 of 17.

Ty Jerome scored 23 points on 10-for-20 shooting despite close defensive attention from Aaron Nesmith and Andrew Nembhard. Cedric Coward went 4-for-12 from three after entering the game shooting 57.7% from beyond the arc. He also contributed on defense and the boards, and showed increased comfort handling the ball.

Cam Spencer recorded nine assists, offering a boost with Scotty Pippen Jr. dealing with a back injury. Spencer, Jerome and Cam Boozer had some success together in limited minutes, with Spencer running ball screens while Jerome played off the ball.

Boozer had a difficult night against Pascal Siakam, who was a challenging matchup for the 19-year-old. His playmaking was less influential than in previous games. The Grizzlies’ turnovers and free-throw gap proved costly in the four-point loss.
