Browns Waive Running Back Audric Estime
The Cleveland Browns waived running back Audric Estime on November 2, after he appeared in one game during a three-game stint with the team.
Cleveland has released Audric Estime, ending the veteran running back’s brief spell with the Browns. The team announced the move on November 2, after a disappointing 27-6 defeat to Pittsburgh in Week 8, a result that cost Cleveland control of the AFC North.
The Browns brought Estime in on October 13, signing him from Minnesota’s practice squad after placing Raheim Sanders on injured reserve because of a hip problem. Quinshon Judkins and Dylan Sampson were contending with injuries then. Estime was with Cleveland for three games but took part in only one.
In that appearance, Estime carried the ball nine times for 19 yards, an average of 2.1 yards per attempt. He scored one touchdown. Cleveland is set to continue using Judkins, Sampson and Jaleel McLaughlin at running back.
Estime was selected by Denver in the fifth round of the 2024 NFL Draft. He played 13 games as a rookie, gaining 310 rushing yards and scoring twice, then spent time with Philadelphia and New Orleans before joining Minnesota in September. At Notre Dame, he recorded 2,321 rushing yards and 29 touchdowns from 2021 through 2023.
