A midseason ranking published November 3 highlights new NFL coordinators making an impact, with assistants from Green Bay and Pittsburgh leading the top 10. The available rankings also assess coordinators in Baltimore, Seattle, Cleveland, New York and Kansas City.

The ranking examines new NFL coordinators’ impact through roughly the first half of the 2026 season, identifying the Packers and Steelers assistants as its leaders. It also names Frank Reich of the Jets, Zac Robinson of the Buccaneers and Jim Leonhard of the Bills as honorable mentions. The published details cover ranks 10 through 5.

Baltimore offensive coordinator Declan Doyle is ranked 10th. The Ravens averaged 29 points over the first four weeks with Lamar Jackson healthy, but have averaged 15.8 since he was sidelined after Week 4. Baltimore’s overtime win over Atlanta with Tyler Huntley was followed by three straight losses.

Seattle’s Brian Fleury ranks ninth. Despite quarterback Sam Darnold’s injury and inconsistent play, and injuries affecting the team’s running backs, Fleury has overseen strong production from receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba, who had more than 900 receiving yards and nine touchdowns in the first eight games.

Cleveland defensive coordinator Mike Rutenberg is eighth. The Browns have allowed 21.6 points per game and recorded 21 sacks, with 11 players contributing at least one. New York Giants defensive coordinator Dennard Wilson ranks seventh after keeping the defense near the league average despite losing Brian Burns for the season. The Giants have allowed only 6.1 yards per pass attempt.

Giants offensive coordinator Matt Nagy is sixth, with the team scoring 23.3 points per game despite using three starting quarterbacks. Kansas City offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy is fifth; the 5-2 Chiefs have shifted toward an offense centered on running back Kenneth Walker III. The ranking describes that approach as mostly successful.

Players: Lamar Jackson, Sam Darnold, Brian Burns, Tyler Huntley, Kenneth Walker III, Jaxon Smith-Njigba
