Patriots Add Marcus Bryant to Active Roster

The New England Patriots activated offensive tackle Marcus Bryant from injured reserve on November 3, adding depth ahead of their Week 9 game against the Green Bay Packers.
Bryant returned to practice on October 14 after an ankle injury sustained during the preseason. The Patriots had until Wednesday to place him on the 53-man roster, the end of the 21-day period that began when he resumed practicing. The second-year tackle is expected to provide depth, including as a possible swing option on either side of the line.
As a rookie, Bryant appeared in 12 games, but saw limited action on offense: 19 snaps, all at right tackle. He also played 56 special-teams snaps. Also at tackle for New England are Crownover, Lomu, Moses and Will Campbell.
The Patriots also released cornerback Kindle Vildor from the active roster. He appeared in five games this season, recording six tackles, a pass breakup and a forced fumble, and had recently been used mainly on special teams after Christian Gonzalez and Carlton Davis returned from injuries. Vildor could return to the practice squad.
New England released Cameron Dorner, a receiver, and Jake Kubas, a guard, from its practice squad, and added linebacker Elias Neal, who had been with the Los Angeles Rams. Safety Elliott Davison, released from the active roster on Monday, is also set to rejoin the Patriots’ practice squad. The team has another practice-squad opening as it prepares for its first practice of the week.
Players: Carlton Davis III, Kindle Vildor, Christian Gonzalez, Jake Kubas, Marcus Bryant, Elliott Davison, Will Campbell, Cameron Dorner
