Colts Extend Defensive Lineman Adetomiwa Adebawore

The Indianapolis Colts agreed to a two-year, $35 million extension with defensive lineman Adetomiwa Adebawore on November 3, keeping the 25-year-old with the team through 2028.
The Indianapolis Colts have agreed to a two-year, $35 million contract extension with defensive lineman Adetomiwa Adebawore, committing to the 25-year-old as the team reshapes its roster. The deal includes a $13 million signing bonus. Adebawore had been set to become a free agent in March.
Adebawore has recorded four sacks during the opening eight games of the 2026 season, matching his career high. He also has 19 tackles, including four for a loss. Last season, he appeared in 17 games and finished with four sacks, six quarterback hits and 36 tackles.
The extension comes amid major changes in Indianapolis. The Colts have traded defensive lineman DeForest Buckner and offensive lineman Quenton Nelson, and general manager Chris Ballard has been fired. The team is 2-6 after a loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars and has lost four straight games.
Indianapolis is also facing trade speculation around running back Jonathan Taylor before the November 10 deadline. Adebawore’s new deal keeps one of the team’s young defensive linemen in place as it continues to reshape its roster.
