Falcons Get Injury Boost Before Bengals Game in Madrid

The Atlanta Falcons reported progress from several injured players and the return of suspended edge rusher James Pearce Jr. during a Wednesday walkthrough in Madrid, ahead of Sunday’s game against Cincinnati.
The Falcons received encouraging updates on several players as they prepared in Madrid for their Week 9 matchup with the Bengals. Their estimated injury report from Wednesday’s walkthrough listed defensive back Billy Bowman Jr. as a full participant after he missed the previous two games with a hamstring injury.
Atlanta listed linebacker Divine Deablo and halfback Brian Robinson Jr. as limited. Deablo is recovering from a forearm injury, while Robinson has a hamstring injury. Atlanta also listed linebacker Yasir Abdullah as limited with a hamstring injury and receiver Zachariah Branch as unable to participate with the same type of injury.
Edge rusher James Pearce Jr. returned to practice after missing the first eight games while serving a suspension. Coach Kevin Stefanski said Pearce was ready to play, pointing to a month of work with the team’s strength staff. The Falcons will assess his potential workload through the rest of the week as they consider whether he can make his season debut against Cincinnati.
Atlanta’s report also listed receiver Beaux Collins and tackle Cameron Williams as full participants. The injury report was an estimate because the team conducted a brief practice session after reaching Spain early Wednesday morning.
The Falcons will continue preparing in Madrid before Sunday’s game. Further updates during the week are expected to clarify which players will be available. Pearce’s return could give Atlanta another option in its effort to pressure opposing quarterbacks.
Players: Divine Deablo, Brian Robinson, Yasir Abdullah, Billy Bowman Jr., Beaux Collins, James Pearce Jr., Cameron Williams, Zachariah Branch
