Falcons Place Samson Ebukam on Injured Reserve

Atlanta moved edge defender Samson Ebukam to injured reserve after a hamstring injury, sidelining him for at least four games. The Falcons also brought defensive end Drake Jackson back to their practice squad ahead of Sunday’s game against Cincinnati in Madrid.
The Atlanta Falcons placed Samson Ebukam on injured reserve on November 3 after the edge rusher hurt his hamstring in Sunday’s 16-0 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He will miss at least four games before he is eligible to return, including the Falcons’ matchup with the Cincinnati Bengals in Madrid on Sunday.
Ebukam has appeared in seven games this season, totaling 2.5 sacks, 11 tackles overall, two stops behind the line of scrimmage and nine hits on opposing quarterbacks. His absence leaves Atlanta without a key contributor on its defensive front as the team looks to replace his pass-rushing production.
Atlanta also added defensive end Drake Jackson to its practice squad, following his Monday departure from the active roster. The team removed offensive lineman Colby Sorsdal from its practice squad to make room. Jackson’s return follows the team’s roster moves ahead of James Pearce Jr.’s return from a league suspension.
The Falcons enter Week 9 with a 3-5 record after the shutout loss to Tampa Bay. They travel to Madrid to face Cincinnati on Sunday as they adjust their defensive-line rotation without Ebukam.
Players: Samson Ebukam, Drake Jackson, Colby Sorsdal, James Pearce Jr.
