Glenn Says Hall and Allen Will Both Play for Jets
Jets coach Aaron Glenn said on November 4 that Breece Hall is moving toward a return and that Hall and Braelon Allen will both play when Hall is back.
New York Jets coach Aaron Glenn said on November 4 that running back Breece Hall is “trending in the right direction” as the team prepares to face the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 9. Hall has missed the past five games with a quadriceps injury sustained in Week 3.
Asked how the team would divide the work between Hall and Braelon Allen after Hall returns, Glenn said both backs would play. He did not provide further detail about their roles or how carries might be shared.
Allen has taken on a larger role during Hall’s absence, rushing for 565 yards and three touchdowns this season. In the Jets’ Week 8 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders, he recorded a career-high 147 rushing yards and scored once.
New York enters the matchup at 2-6 and has lost its last three games. The Jets are set to play the Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday, with kickoff scheduled for 1 p.m. ET.
