Miami Among Finalists for Five-Star Receiver Brysen Wright

On November 2, Miami was named one of three finalists for 2028 five-star receiver Brysen Wright, who plans to announce his commitment on November 5.
Miami is competing with Florida and Texas for Wright, a receiver at Mandarin High School in Jacksonville. Recruiting rankings place him first among wide receivers in the 2028 class and third overall nationally. He has also drawn interest from Alabama, Ohio State and LSU, but the field is now down to three schools.
The 6-foot-4, 210-pound prospect has drawn attention for his size and ability to make contested catches. He had 44 receptions for 962 yards and 10 touchdowns in his sophomore regular season. In his junior season, he totaled 46 catches for 984 yards and 11 touchdowns.
Miami has pursued Wright since offering him in 2023, and coach Mario Cristobal and his staff have made him a priority. Wright also has a connection to the Hurricanes through quarterback Knox Annis, his Mandarin teammate, who has committed to Miami’s 2028 class. The Hurricanes named Wright a finalist a day after beating North Carolina, adding a recruiting development to the team’s recent on-field momentum. Wright’s decision is scheduled for November 5.
