Several Carolina Panthers practiced on the side as the team prepared for its game against Denver. Coach Dave Canales said quarterback Bryce Young’s mobility had improved.

The Carolina Panthers have encouraging injury updates ahead of their matchup with the Denver Broncos after a stretch that has sidelined numerous players. The team is 3-4 through seven games, and Will Lee III was injured last week, though he may avoid injured reserve and is unlikely to play this week.

Xavier Legette, Jonathon Brooks and Mike Jackson worked on the side on Tuesday. The Panthers expect to begin the 21-day return process for Legette and Brooks soon. Jaelan Phillips and Jaycee Horn also worked off to the side. Horn has been out since Week 3, while Phillips has missed the past couple of weeks.

Carolina began the 21-day return process for Brady Christensen, but he may need time to get back into playing shape before returning to the lineup.

Young has continued to play despite a knee injury that has affected his movement. He described himself as “good,” while Canales said Tuesday that the quarterback was “ready to rock.” Young’s mobility has improved, a potentially important development as Carolina prepares for Denver.
