Bears Place Kentavius Street on Injured Reserve

The Chicago Bears placed defensive tackle Kentavius Street on injured reserve on November 4, two days after he injured his knee during a game.
Street started seven of the Bears’ first eight games after joining the team as a free agent. Across those eight appearances, he made one quarterback sack, stopped two plays behind the line of scrimmage and totaled nine tackles. His role had diminished after Jeffery Simmons joined the team last week.
Chicago promoted tight end Stephen Carlson from its practice squad to fill Street’s place on the active roster. Carlson had played Monday night after being brought up for that game to help cover for Cole Kmet, who suffered a season-ending knee injury.
The Bears also signed defensive end Earnest Brown IV to their practice squad. Brown was selected in the fifth round of the 2021 draft by the Los Angeles Rams and has not appeared in a game in two years.
Players: Kentavius Street, Stephen Carlson, Jeffery Simmons, Cole Kmet
